Loomly is a browser-based tool that promises to facilitate the social media content management inside a straightforward interface. You can build calendars to store various posts, concerning significant events or celebrations, select the distribution channels, invite collaborators, filter the collected data and view detailed analytics.


On the left area of the dashboard, users get a green button designed to help them create a new calendar. Within the calendar, they may bring together different accounts from social media platforms, such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Google+, Pinterest or LinkedIn. During the set-up process, they are advised to enter a suggestive name, after the project or the brand it serves, to choose the time zone and the industry, but also to insert a logo.


The next step asks for a workflow selection from a list of three distinct patterns, with more or fewer post states, appropriate for individual activities or that involve multiple collaborators in the approval procedure.


You can insert new posts into a calendar by clicking on the green button placed on the right part of the window. Once conceived one or many posts, you may preview them using the “Post View” option, examine all details of your posts in the “List View” or choose to see them with the “Calendar View.”


The app lets you invite collaborators to access a particular calendar from the toolbar positioned on the upper right side. Add their email addresses and pick up an editor, contributor, client or viewer role for each one of them.


By opening the “On the Radar” widget on the dashboard, the app enables you to see all your posts, inserted in all calendars and grouped by days. The “Post Overview” feature offers information about the state of each post, including here the approved, scheduled, published or failed ones, but also items that are pending approval or that require further editing. The “Comments” section contains messages that you can mark as read or unread.


You can collapse any feature displayed on the dashboard by tapping the arrowhead icon exhibited on the right side of each category if you want to make more space for others.
